Science Literacy in A Global Era

To the 20th Anniversary Meeting of The Korean Association for Research in Science Education.
The United States and the World, with the end of the Cold War and the spread of democracy, are hopefully on the verge of a new era of peaceful cooperation among nations in contrast to the very destructive physical and economic wars of the present and near past. Science Education by combining certain principles from the social studies construct of Global Education into a global definition of Science Literacy, can play an important and constructive role in efforts to foster this era of international cooperation by providing a common ground for communication among diverse cultures.
