(3-9) The Study on Structure Factors in Instruction of Special School Teachers between Visual Impairment and Hearing Impairment

<Abstract>

The purpose of this study was to compare the differences in the structure factors in instruction between visual impairment school teachers and hearing impairment school teachers. This study was performed by quantitative research method. The questionnaire was developed in two parts, instructional design 12 questions and instructional performance 12 questions. 203 teachers who were working in the visual impairment school and 304 teachers who were teaching in the hearing impairment school were participated for this study. The results of this study were that: (a) the perception of the teachers of the two different schools indicated two factors in the instructional design, and three factors in the instructional performance; (b) the practice of the instructional design was most important factor in the instruction to visual impairment school teachers; (c) the most important factor in instruction to hearing impairment school teachers was the practice of the instructional design; and (d) there was different perception in the instruction between visual and hearing impairment school teachers. The main reasons why the two types of the special school teachers had were different were due to the standard of the instructional design and practice of the instructional design. Therefore this study concluded that the visual impairment school teachers and hearing impairment school teachers had different perception in the instructional design factors.
